According to latest infographic release by GO Globe, mobile devices account for 49% of total time spent on consuming digital media. Mobile apps account for 47% of total internet traffic whereas mobile browsers account for 8% of the total digital media consumption traffic.
The amount of time spent on mobile devices has increased 20% since 2010 whereas digital video viewing has doubled from 13 minutes a day in 2012 to 27 minutes today whereas Mobile video consumption is 44% higher in smartphone with screens larger than 44% as compared to smaller smartphones.
52% of retail traffic now originated from mobile devices whereas 78% of smartphones based searches has resulted in local purchase as compared to 64% of tablet-based searches and 61% of PC or laptop based searches.
