Sailthru Gives Back in 2012

imageAs we reflect on our accomplishments over the past year, we are most grateful for the opportunity to have had a direct impact on the community around us by partnering with some phenomenal charitable organizations. Here’s a look back at some of our highlights from 2012…

We focused on education and fostering the next generation of entrepreneurs by supporting organizations like E[nstitute] and Codecademy, an online education resource for those who want to learn how to code. Our team is passionate about non-profit organizations that directly affect the future of our industry, and we were blown away by the stories from some of the participants in the Girls Who Code program at this year’s gala fundraiser.

When disaster stuck in our backyard, over twenty Sailthru employees volunteered their time in local areas hardest hit by Hurricane Sandy, such as Staten Island and the Rockaways, and organized donations to the Mayor’s Fund to Advance NYC. We were so inspired by the resilience of the community and continue to support the rebuilding of those areas affected by the hurricane.

Near the end of the year we were thrilled to sponsor Charity:Water’s annual fundraiser, Charity:Ball. Founded by Scott Harrison, Charity:Water is an amazing organization that donates 100% of their profits to bringing safe and drinkable water to people in developing nations. Since 2006, Charity:Water has helped 2,500,000 people get access to clean water with 6,611 water projects in 20 countries.

We at Sailthru are proud to support the charitable causes that we feel passionate about, and are looking forward to another active year in 2013. If you want to learn more about the charities we are involved with and how you can help, please contact us or visit the websites below to learn more.
