As of this afternoon, the Sailthru admin interface now makes HTTPS mandatory. We’ve supported an HTTPS version of the interface for a while now, but it wasn’t required for all users until today. What’s HTTPS/SSL? It’s a secure data transport layer for websites. Basically, it means that your communications are encrypted, so nobody can eavesdrop on your connection and see what you’re doing on a website. Depending on your browser, you may see a lock symbol or a different-colored address bar that designates a “secure” site.

Keeping your and your users’ data secure is one of our top priorities, and we’re going to continue to audit our security and continually improve it as much as we can.
